Testimonials

Five star customer service, empathy, efficiency, trustworthiness and follow-through with the Passaro Group. I have worked with Ron Passaro and his amazing company for over 7 years. I am a physical therapist and Director of Rehabilitation in the Santa Monica, CA area. I work in the skilled nursing and post-acute rehab hospital sector of healthcare. Ron Passaro has assisted me and my discharge planning team with finding safe, trustworthy, reliable placement for individuals who complete their intensive rehab services and then transition successfully back into the community.

I would never trust any other company besides the Passaro Group to assist our skilled nursing and rehab hospital with finding safe, affordable and appropriate discharge destinations for our precious patients. Ron’s follow through, professionalism and organization are what set him apart from every other agency. Thank you Ron and Susan for all of your hard work, dedication and commitment to your clients.

I know… You read all these glowing reviews and you think they must be exaggerating, but trust me – they’re not. Ron is like the superman of eldercare placement, a godsend if ever there was one.

I accidentally stumbled upon his website after having placed my now 94-year-old father in three different facilities over a 4-year-period, none of which offered him a decent level of care (and they weren’t inexpensive either.) I was at my wits’ end and seriously concerned about the future of his well-being, so having nothing to lose I gave Ron a call. The minute he answered the phone I immediately sensed that here was a man who really cares and lives his life with a strong sense of service to others. He is genuinely committed to helping people find the best possible arrangement for their loved ones.

Based on conversations with me, personal research, and an encyclopedic grasp of eldercare options in L.A., Ron was able to select appropriate placement possibilities, tour them with me, discuss the choices, and offer his professional opinion, all of which allowed me to make an informed, personal choice as to where I felt my father would thrive. Within days, with Ron’s help, my dad had successfully transitioned into his new “home” where I’m confident he will happily live out the rest of his days.

I will forever be grateful to Ron and his wife, Susan, for choosing this vocation and taking it to the next level of professionalism and personalization. They truly are changing lives.

When it came time for my mother to move from her apartment to an assisted living facility the hospital put me in touch with Ron Passaro. Ron reviewed her medical records and interviewed her. He then recommended three facilities, all appropriate and within my limited budget. He met me at the facilities and guided me in my inspection so I didn’t miss anything. We settled on one and that was it, thanks to Ron, whose experience, judgment, and compassion allowed him to make a gut-wrenching process simple.

Ron, it is a pleasure for me to share my experience with you and how your service made a miracle for my family. As an Emergency Department physician, I deal with safety issues for patients and disastrous circumstances every day. One might think it would be second nature to help my Mom adapt to changes in her life. It wasn’t. The experience of helping my Mom to determine the right living situation for her when it became unsafe for her to live alone was frightening and painful for both of us.  She did not want anything to change, and I wanted to keep her safe and happy.  Those two attitudes did not seem to have a meeting point.  What I knew about extended care facilities was more the stuff of horror films than a lovely life.  Well, that, and I really thought I “knew.”

I explored options and did my research, and it ended up in a series of dead-end roads, either because things were too expensive or because they did not appeal to my Mom or me for other reasons.  It became more frustrating and frightening for both of us.

Finally, I remembered a wonderful man who is a Social Worker, and I called to ask his advice on the subject.  He gave me some information and then said, essentially, that there is a man who provides a service that matches seniors with living arrangements.  My Social Worker colleague said that Mr. Ron Passaro was a very special man who really cares about what he does and takes a PERSONAL interest in those he is asked to assist.  This was curious and I was game for anything.

From my first conversation with Ron, it was clear that this was the “Real Deal.”  He asked some very good questions about Mom and her wants and needs. He asked them in a way that helped me get an idea about what aspects to consider. One thing I mentioned was that I’d love to have someplace with some Jewish culture. In Michigan, where I live, that is pretty near impossible. We talked also about financial issues with regard to Mom’s impending move.

Ron knows the facilities in the Los Angeles area well.  He scanned the possibilities and we met Ron, Mom, and I, to tour a few. It was great to meet him. This was a very professional guy who clearly really cared and had a very clear picture of what this chapter in life meant to my Mom and me. Miraculously, the first place he took us to see was EXACTLY what I had dreamed of for Mom and never thought I’d find.  Ron even had the great suggestion for Mom to try it out for a period first.

What happened then was a series of amazing events for us.  As we begin today, my Mom is happy and has many new friends and activities, and feels loved and cared for in her home environment.  After having lived alone for many years and moving from the place she had lived for over forty years. This is nothing short of miraculous. There is Jewish culture.  The attitude toward the residents is one of respect and caring.  They adjust, daily and moment-to-moment, to the needs of their residents.  All this and these are people who are responsive and supportive to me as well in my need to know how Mom is doing and what I can do to help.  It also happens to be affordable, which is extra-nice, as I am taking on extra work to make this a smooth transition for my Mom.

If someone told me this could happen, I’d never have believed them. My Mom is happier than before, and suddenly it is time to take care of my own life.  That is something that would never have been possible if not for Ron Passaro.

I may well need to ask him for some advice about my own life, as he helped us get Mom into a wonderful new life of her own.

I have been working with Ron and Susan Passaro for over 1 year. I am the marketing director of a prominent Assisted Living community. The Passaro Group has referred many residents to me in the past year. They don’t just give a person my info like some other companies. They work with the potential resident and my community through the entire process. This is very important to both the potential resident and their family members. I would recommend The Passaro Group to anyone in the assisted living industry.

Having to place a family member is an emotional and stressful time. Add to that, we often lack the experience to navigate this process. We were referred to Ron by a friend in a similar situation who, after one year, is still happy with the placement Ron found for her. He listened to the needs of our family and acted quickly. I want to take this opportunity to thank him and would recommend him without any hesitation.

The Passaro Group consistently provides prompt, courteous, and excellent service to our staff and our patients. Their agency limits referrals to those places they have visited and selects possible placement visits based on the needs of the patients and their families. Kudos for standing out with great customer service.

As parents get older, your life positions often change. The adult child becomes the caregiver and the parent becomes the person in need. I was at a loss for what to do. I was frustrated and confused. Then I met Ron Passaro. Ron listened to my concerns. He let me know my feelings were valid. He gave me hope and the guilt I was feeling started to diminish. Ron took me to the facility I asked about, because of the price. He didn’t say he thought it was the wrong facility for my needs. After we met, he showed me the facility that he thought would be a better match. And he was right! He treated me like a friend. I felt he knew and really cared about me and my mother. I am truly blessed to have found Ron. Thank you, Ron, for all you are and do for us in need.

Whenever we receive a referral of a family looking for placement of a loved one, we can always count on Ron from The Passaro Group to have done the legwork ahead of time. It’s so important that families are directed to facilities where their loved ones would be appropriate residents, and Ron takes the time to ensure this happens. The service Ron provides to his clients is top-notch and he is there from the beginning of the process all the way through placement. The Passaro Group provides an invaluable service to families and to the community and we have been very fortunate to work with them.
